On behalf of the Orient of North Carolina and the Valley of Winston Salem, three separate gifts were presented by NC RiteCare Advocate Alex S. Edmisten, 32°.  After to lunch with Dr. Melba Spooner – Dean of the Reich College of Education, Dr. Marie Huff – Dean of the Beaver College of Health Sciences, along with both Directors of Development Gina Harwood and Jenny Ward.

After lunch we drove on campus for a check presentation for $36,000 from the North Carolina Scottish Rite Masonic Foundation.  Since 1986, the giving total is in excess of $1.8 million.

Gina and Jenny were surprised with Scottish Rite Afghans for all their continued support of Winston Salem Scottish Rite, the Orient of North Carolina and all they do for our RiteCare Clinics.

After the check and Afghan presentations, the toys that were collected by Clinic Liaisons Bro. Kenny Allen, 32° and Bro. Chris Elder, 32° presented on behalf of the Valley of Winston Salem.  Everyone was so appreciative and amazed at the amount of toys that were donated.  They are so excited to get the toys distributed once students return.  My daughter Lydia was on hand to help deliver the toys to Karalee Cole, CCC-SLP Clinical Educator and Speech Pathologist at University Hall.   Thank you to everyone that helped with the toy drive that continues to show the love, compassion and giving that the Brethren of the Valley of Winston Salem show for the children at our RiteCare Clinics.
